I've been fortunate enough to immerse myself in several vibrant Web3 communities this year. I believe these communities are pivotal to the future of customer engagement, making them highly relevant to both my personal and professional life.
A Familiar Brew: Metabrew Society
For years, I've been a part of the Metabrew Society, the "crypto brewery" of Northern Bavaria. Although I couldn't attend this year's Septembeerfest in Naila, I stayed connected through their AMAs hosted by CEO Holger.
A video that shows - among other things - the Web3 community of MetaBrewSociety is our last year’s Bier Um Vier Recap video, which I’ll include below. Bier Um Vier was our weekly SAP employee get-together, we would drop a new NFT at each meetup and once a month we planned special experiences as you can see in the video.
A Berlin Connection: w3.hub
Our official partnership with w3.hub in Berlin has led to exciting collaborations. My colleague Lucas Bergstroem and I had the privilege of live-streaming with Vicktoria Klich for their Onchain Culture podcast.
Berlin has become a frequent destination for me, thanks to Web3 events, including a memorable one at w3.hub where we showcased SAP's NFT Management solution and dropped a wave of NFTs with the enthusiastic audience.
Homegrown Web3: W3MUC Munich
Closer to home in Munich, I've been actively supporting the W3MUC community. We've hosted several community meetups at the Werk1 location in the vibrant Werksviertel, fostering discussions, talks, and NFT drops. Our recent Founders Forum showcased how these NFT drops can be paired with real-world utility, such as raffles.
A Gaming Odyssey: Voya Game's Craft World
Voya Game's Craft World gaming community is another exciting addition to my Web3 journey. Their game leverages Web3 to power in-game features like resource swaps via Uniswap, they recently added pools (just like in DeFi), demonstrating the potential of Web3 for streamlined collaborations. Their recent partnership with Moorchi is a testament to this.
Summary
This year, I've actively engaged with various Web3 communities, including Metabrew Society, w3.hub, W3MUC, and Voya Game's Craft World. These communities have not only enriched my understanding of Web3 but also provided opportunities for collaboration and innovation.
So…
A well-managed Web3 community can be a game-changer for a brand. By dedicating consistent effort and maintaining open communication, community managers can foster a vibrant and engaged community. Offering a compelling product or service is crucial, but it's the human element of community building that truly sets successful Web3 projects apart.
