Snowboarding has been a lifelong passion of mine. However, with climate change making its impact, the reliability of natural snowfall has become a concern. Many ski areas now rely heavily on artificial snow to maintain their operations.
Despite these challenges, I still find ways to indulge in my love for snowboarding. This year, I had the opportunity to embark on an epic snowboarding adventure with my friend and colleague, Andre, this year. We spent several days exploring the slopes, pushing our limits, and enjoying the thrill of the ride.
The fresh powder, stunning mountain views, and camaraderie with my friend made this trip unforgettable.
One of the highlights of our trip was the opportunity to relax in the sauna at Mar Dolomit in St. Ulrich. After a long day on the slopes, there's nothing better than unwinding in a sauna and soaking up the breathtaking mountain scenery.
For many years, I've relied on trains to travel to the Dolomites. The journey itself is a part of the adventure, offering stunning views of the Italian Alps. However, as climate change continues to impact winter sports, I'm exploring new options to satisfy my thirst for adventure.
Kitesurfing has emerged as an intriguing alternative. The idea of harnessing the power of the wind and water is both exciting and challenging. I'm looking forward to learning this new skill and discovering the thrill of riding waves.
While snowboarding may face challenges in the future, I'm determined to keep this passion alive. By embracing new opportunities and adapting to changing conditions, I hope to continue enjoying the thrill of winter sports for many years to come.
