Yoga has always been a part of my wellness routine, providing a balance of physical and mental benefits. However, I realized that I wanted to take my fitness journey to the next level. That's when I decided to incorporate strength training and calisthenics into my regimen.
The Transition to Strength Training and Calisthenics
To enhance my running and cycling performance, I've integrated strength training into my yoga routine. Focusing on core strength exercises like planks, leg raises, and Russian twists has significantly improved my stability and balance. This has directly translated to better performance on the bike and the running track.
I've also discovered the joy of calisthenics. The convenience of finding calisthenics parks in my neighborhood has allowed me to incorporate these dynamic bodyweight exercises into my routine. I particularly enjoy monkey bar exercises, which challenge my upper body strength and coordination.

A Typical Morning Routine
My typical weekday morning routine involves a mix of yoga and strength training. I start with a short yoga session to warm up my body and improve flexibility. I also incorporate core exercises like planks, leg raises, and Russian twists to strengthen my core and improve stability.
The beauty of this routine is that it can be easily adapted to different fitness levels and can be performed almost anywhere. Even when I'm traveling, I can find ways to incorporate these exercises into my daily routine.

I feel stronger, more confident, and more energized. It's amazing how a simple change in routine can lead to such significant benefits.
